    Overall Job Description

    The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing Dear Our Community’s community engagement strategy, a particular focus on building relationships with the youth, local community partners and service providers. The Community Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the Brand & Community team to assist in the overall coordination of services and opportunities to ensure adherence to the company mission and values of authentic youth engagement, community development, equitable practices that promote the understanding of sustainability, ESG, CSR, and social impact practices.

     

    Major Responsibilities & Duties:

    ·    Cultivate relationships across diverse communities to provide new opportunities for young people from both online and offline channels (FB Group, Online Learners Community, Offline Gathering, etc)  

     

    ·    Facilitate regular community meetings (gathering, workshop, training, orientation….etc) to foster relationship building, collaboration, and promote services for young people.

     

    ·    Provide ongoing input, information, and materials (as requested) that support internal and external communication efforts about programs and opportunities.

     

    ·    Serve as an advocate in the community to ensure that the needs of young people are met in DOC activities and services

    ·    Provide support for other projects by coordinating with and supporting colleagues  as needed or requested.

     

    ·    Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred (Marketing, Professional communication, PRs, Social studies) plus experience of directly-related experience working with young people.

     

    An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted, as long as it directly relates to the essential duties and responsibilities. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of community organizing and volunteer management, as well as experience advocating with youth transitioning to the field or interest of sustainability, ESG, CSR, and social impact (relevant training will be provided). A strong desire for supporting and empowering young people in creating social impact.

    Teach For Viet Nam (TFV) is a young and dynamic organization with the vision that all children in Vietnam will attain an excellent education. During the two years, fellows teach in high need schools and work with underprivileged students and communities. TFV is in its seventh year of operation and currently placing 17 fellows in Quang Nam and Dong Thap. We aim to have 60 fellows and expand into three regions in the 2024 academic year.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Program team is responsible for the training and support of Teach For Viet Nam Fellows both before, i.e. preservice training, and during their Fellowship in order to ensure Fellows’ growth and impact as leaders both in the classroom (as measured by student achievement) and beyond. Program Managers at Teach For Viet Nam play a central role in our work, as they are directly in charge of delivering support for Fellows in terms of operation at school and leadership. They serve as leadership coaches for a group of 10-15 Fellows in a specific location, regularly monitoring both community practice and leadership growth through observation-and-coaching cycles, regular check- ins, learning circles and reflection. Program Managers are responsible to train and coach fellows on personal and leadership development. They work with the Curriculum Leader and other teams to ensure fellows deliver the required student and community outcomes. As the first and primary point-of-contact between Fellows and the organization, they are also responsible for cultivating strong and productive relationships and a positive team culture.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Job Description & Summary
    Our CR and D&I team works to enhance PwC’s brand and reputation as a socially responsible leader. As a manager in the team, you are responsible for the initiatives that continue to create an inclusive culture, make PwC a reliable and socially responsible partner in the accounting market place, our communities, and to our existing and potential clients; you will ensure that these initiatives are followed and deliver a positive impact to PwC and to society.

    Key responsibilities

    • Support and implement Firm’s CR and Net Zero strategy

    • Plan programmes for the year ie a yearly calendar

    • Manage budget for the year (budget to be approved by CR partner)

    • Manage data collection process for Net Zero reporting 4x a year

    • Respond to global Net Zero commitment e.g offsets and renewable energy

    • Implement programmes to ensure we meet Net Zero target

    • Communicate initiatives before and after events, internally through email or externally through the firm’s social media.

    • Develop, plan, manage programs/ events, and set up full processes to run events/programs e.g. coordinating with volunteers, collecting donations, evaluating programs…

    • Track input and outputs of programmes e.g. number of volunteers/participants, number of hours, environment data

    • Work with external stakeholders (e.g. clients / NGOs / vendors) to run programmes together.

    • Work with other departments xLoS for support and to create more awareness (e.g. HC, M&C, social media team)

    • Work with MY CR team for MYVN events

    • Work with remote areas/ NGOs to support education and training for disadvantaged children.

    Requirements:

    • University degree in related fields, i.e. Business Administration, Sociology, Environment, Human Resources. Postgraduate degree in a related field is an advantage

    • Minimum of one (1) – three (3) years of CR, D&I experience, preferably work experience in financial institutions or professional service industries

    • Strong writing and analytical skills

    • Excellent written and spoken English and Vietnamese.

    • Strong presentation skills both in English and Vietnamese

    • Experience in public speaking

    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    • Energetic, well organised, and with the ability to lead self and others, coordinate tasks and responsibilities, and support other team members to deliver results
